A very special message
to SAM attendees :

Dear Laura,

Just read the quick note of Kathleen about the additional $500 USD wired to D41 account for our relief efforts generously donated and collected
during the recent South Area Meeting from individual members who wanted to help.

This is really, really fantastic!! Very touching, indeed. I am so humbled by
the kind compassion and generosity of Quotarians to the poor people at the other side of the world.

In behalf of the 41st District, OUR SINCEREST THANKS!! Words cannot
quite articulate our deepest gratitude, but please tell them how we
deeply, greatly appreciate the help extended.

In Quota hugs,

Lynne

Tonight as Caleb and I were riding home after a late night at work and quick supper out with my other boys... in our converstaion I made mention of the trip to Aruba. There was silence and the Caleb asked what he thought to be a simple question that turned out to be quite thought provoking.

This is what he said: "Mom, why do you have to go on all those Quota trips?

I paused and thought for a moment and then replied, "Well, I don't have to." He seemed puzzled and asked (you know...) "...then why do you go?"
I paused again thinking how can I explain this to him and then I said.
"Quota meetings are like Family Reunions. When your family lives far away, you have family get-togethers so you find out how they've been and see family that you don't get to see every day. Sometimes these get- togethers are held in different places so that it is easier for some families to go when they may not could have otherwise. Quota International is one big family called "Quotarians" (like our last name) that live in places all over the world and we have get- togethers all over the world some are big and some are small so we can find out what each other are doing and meet family we didn't know we had. Then I thought... I haven't told him the why. I then said..."the main reason why I like to go is because Quotarians are giving and caring people and we help others... and it's so much fun and exciting to find out how our other Quota families are helping others and getting to meet new family members from different parts of the world that I wouldn't have met just staying at home in my little Quota family in Monroe."

I challenge you to find out your 'why'. When we remember our why...
then we find our individual Quota passion(s) and then wanting to share that with others will become automatic not just with our "Quota Family"
but with others of whom we associate ourselves.
